I love learning new things and am always open to exploring creativity in a new way.

I've always been an observer and photography was my original creative love. My first camera was a blue plastic, double-handled, Little Tikes camera - I filled rolls and rolls of film with pictures of my toys and family (missing the tops of their heads - I was short).

I moved into textile arts while running an arts drop-in and social enterprise for youth experiencing homelessness in Toronto and have been exploring other textile creatives since. Now, my main creative outlet is hand embroidery, I love how it combines photography and thread. I also do other textile crafts like sewing clothings or quilts, and using natural ingredients to dye things. I read a lot of books and sometimes I write poems. I studied a little ASL (American Sign Language) and have dived into bird-watching over the last few years. Can you ever have too many hobbies?

I also love encouraging people in their endeavors, big and small - learning about what people are into and acting as their own, personal, cheerleader.
